Hello! My name is Igor Tyulenev
I am a student at HSE Art and Design School. I work in illustration, animation, screenwriting, and a little bit of design.
Today, I want to introduce you to my favorite project, which I have been developing since my school days—Tamaraland!

I’m not working on Tamaraland alone. I have two partners, Katya Dolgova and Stefan Morshchinin. Together, we are known as IKS, or rather, rybki_v_teste!
But what is Tamaraland?
Tamaraland is a comic book series centered on a fictional afterlife called Oneiros, or Tamaraland. It is a world where angels, demons, fairies, gnomes, and other fantastic creatures live side by side.

AirFerret was the first creature we created for the world of Tamaraland. This is where the entire story began.
The idea for creating Tamaraland first came to me and my two co-writers in 2018. From the very beginning, the story has been about acceptance, friendship between different peoples, and fighting xenophobia. But we will discuss these themes in more detail shortly.
But why?
Although our world has made real progress in accepting people for who they are, xenophobia remains a serious issue. This is especially true today, when we all have access to the amazing digital world of the internet—a space full of trolls, bullies, and racists.
Because of the fear of rejection, some people may retreat into digital and/or fantasy worlds. This is one reason why movies and games—with their own fictional worlds and charismatic characters—are so appealing to young people.
The amazing world of Tamaraland!
In the world of Tamaraland, xenophobia is a particularly serious issue. Angels and demons, elves and werewolves, humans and monsters—they all fear and hate one another. These are the problems that Tamara, one of the story’s main characters, will have to face.
The younger and contemporary versions of Tamara. The first appears in the world’s backstory, while the second appears in the main narrative.
Tamaraland is home to all kinds of creatures! Eastern dragons, chupacabras, Bigfoots, and vampires all live side by side in this world. Every viewer can find a little piece of their own culture here!
Although the main characters are fantastic creatures, they face problems that viewers can relate to—such as relationships, friendship, love, family, and respect. After all, it doesn’t matter how we look or what we are born as. What truly matters is what we do and how we treat others.
What is the advantage?
First of all, it is important to remember that Tamaraland is a comic book series, so most of the income will come from comic book sales.
We may also release some additional content in digital format. For example, we could create a separate comic series that is not directly connected to the main storyline but adds more detail to the world and helps readers understand it better.
Merchandise could also be sold alongside the comics or separately. For example, we could offer collectible cards, plush toys, pins, keychains, and acrylic figures. If Tamaraland becomes popular enough, we could also begin selling apparel, which is especially popular among young people.
Tamaraland Posters
In the distant future, if the project is successful, we plan to create an animated series. This would help us reach an even wider audience and attract more potential customers.
Animation would also give us the opportunity to release episodes on streaming platforms such as Netflix or Kinopoisk.
We should also not forget the importance of advertising and social media in promoting the project and reaching new audiences.
If the project becomes successful enough, we could also collaborate with advertisers and other brands. These partnerships and collaborations would generate additional income for us.

Let’s Support Tamara!
Let’s help Tamara on her journey! Creating an entire comic book series, and especially an animated series, is a very time-consuming and difficult task for one person.
But together, we can create a whole new magical world!
I am looking for a team of illustrators, printing specialists, investors, and/or producers who would like to help bring Tamaraland to life.
