Hi! I’m Lilit, an illustrator from Moscow, and I study Illustration at the HSE Art and Design School.
I’m always looking for the humorous side of things, even the most ordinary ones. That’s how most of my projects start: something small catches my eye, and suddenly there’s a whole world with its own strange, little characters.
I draw with colored pencils, create collages, work digitally, and often blend all these mediums together. I also handle the layout and animation myself, which allows me to take a story from the initial sketch all the way to the final project.
If you have a story that needs illustrations, I would love to help!
A Story About Cockroaches
Illustrated longread based on a fairy tale by Venya D’rkin · 2025 · illustration, web-design
Once upon a time, people lived alongside white, fluffy roaches. They were kind and gentle, and they shared meals with humans. Then a wizard, offended that no one invited him to the princess’s wedding, cast a curse: whoever kissed the princess that day would crumble into a hundred thousand nasty creatures. One little fluffy roach heard this and tried to save the prince.
The House at 12/4 Malaya Pionerskaya
Illustrated longread about the HSE Art and Design School building · 2025 · illustration
Our school building has a long and winding history. A boy and a girl travel through layers of time, chatting along the way. From their conversation, you discover what this house has been over the last hundred years: a factory for church utensils, a Soviet plant, and now a university.Myths, real events, and forgotten names mingle together, and the past keeps breaking through the brickwork.
Bugventures (Bukashestvo)
Prints and Merch for Elizabethan Children’s Hospice — competition brief — 2026 — illustration, graphic design
The brief was to create prints and graphics for the hospice’s merchandise and souvenirs that reflect what it stands for: care, warmth, and support. I illustrated three small stories featuring caterpillars, bees, and ants. These tiny insects caring for one another became a symbol of people who do the same. That is what the hospice is all about—being present, offering help, and bringing joy even when things are incredibly difficult.
Billiard Disco
Graphic series + AR lenses · 2025 · collage, AR
What if billiard balls went to a disco instead of a pool table? In this series, billiard gear transforms into disco outfits, and the balls bump into each other on a dance floor under a mirror ball. Rolling balls has never been this glamorous. I made the collages from denim, kraft paper, cardboard, foil, and colored paper.
Then I wanted the characters to actually dance. I created five AR lenses that brought them to life and threw them a real party. At the time, the collages were displayed at the Dorozhka billiard club, so the lenses were a fun way to draw visitors to the exhibition.
