♡ Hi, I’m Anastasia Golubeva, a 3D animator focused on character performance, body language, and expressive movement. I work with animation, posing, facial expression, and motion to make digital characters feel believable and alive, combining technical skills with an understanding of acting and visual storytelling ♡
I work in Blender, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Maya, and I am interested in projects where animation can communicate personality, emotion, and story through movement.
Animation of animal body mechanics

This project involved studying the principles of animal movement through 3D animation, using a bird and a tiger as primary references. I explored how anatomy, weight, balance, rhythm, and physical structure influence the way different creatures move. The exercises included flight, walking, and running cycles, as well as short animated scenes that helped me study transitions between movements and the body’s overall dynamics. The project strengthened my understanding of creature mechanics and demonstrated how observing real movement can be translated into more believable and expressive 3D animation.

Body Mechanics Animation

This project focused on studying body mechanics and understanding how weight, balance, rhythm, and intention shape movement. The exercises included a basic and stylized walk cycle, running, expressive posing, an obstacle jump, and a pantomime study. Through these tasks, I explored how body language can communicate personality and emotion even without dialogue, helping me develop a stronger sense of character performance and more believable 3D animation.

Mimicry, dialogues, face rig

I practiced facial animation and rigging, with an emphasis on how expression, speech, and subtle facial movement can strengthen character performance. I created two phoneme libraries, developed a dialogue scene with multiple characters, and completed a facial acting study. The project helped me better understand how facial rigging, articulation, and timing work together to make 3D characters feel more expressive, believable, and emotionally clear.

♡ Characters are more than models—movement gives them meaning ♡
I am interested in collaborations where animation helps reveal personality, emotion, and intention through body language and performance. If you are looking for a 3D animator who approaches movement as a component of storytelling, please feel free to get in touch.
