What Makes a Space Feel Like Home?
Home is not merely a physical location; it encompasses memories, people, habits, and personal experience.
For some, home is tied to a specific address; for others, it is connected to their childhood city, loved ones, or a profound sense of belonging.
Everyone holds a unique conception of home, shaped by their individual life experiences.
ii. Concept

Many Stories—One Image of Home
«What is home?» is an exhibition project that explores the concept of home through personal memories, photographs, and individual experiences.
The exhibition unites diverse perspectives on home into a collective artistic statement, prompting visitors to reimagine their own relationship with this concept.
iii. Exhibition Format
Collective Installation
The project integrates written and photographic reflections on home, gathered through an open call for stories.
The collected materials form the basis of a spatial installation where personal memories intertwine, shaping a multifaceted collective image of home.
In parallel, the project website is being developed, featuring an interactive map that integrates participant stories and archives them after the exhibition concludes.
iv. Exhibition Design Solution
A Space Filled with Stories
The exposition is based on a layered installation featuring photographs, texts, and personal memories.
The materials are displayed within a space that allows visitors to move between stories, examine the photographs, and connect with the experiences of others.
Each narrative becomes a distinct component of the overall composition.
v. Visitor Interaction
The Spectator Becomes a Participant
Visitors not only encounter the presented narratives but also have the opportunity to answer the exhibition’s central question:
«What does home mean to you?»
Participant responses become part of a collective installation, gradually supplementing and transforming the exhibit.
