Still Life of Wonderland | Illustration series based on a fairy tale
Brief: Create a series of still lifes inspired by any fairy tale.
Idea I took Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass and narrated the story through objects alone, without depicting the characters.
Problem Alice in Wonderland already has a very recognizable aesthetic, making it easy to replicate what everyone has seen before.
Solution I rendered the series in a slightly naive style, replete with quirky details, allowing each still life to function as a scene that evokes a strange and personal world.
Result A series of 13 still lifes that retells Alice’s story in a fresh manner.

Sleeping Rose | Illustrated Series with Letters
Brief: Create a series of illustrations connected to the letters of the alphabet.Idea I took the fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty and transplanted it into a mysterious and beautiful garden. I altered the plot and setting, so the story became uniquely mine.
Problem I was assigned six challenging letters: Щ, К, М, Ъ, Ы, and Ц. Incorporating them into a cohesive narrative was difficult.
Solution I structured the story as a loop and synchronized the events with the designated letters. This allowed even the most complex letters to feel like a natural part of the plot.
Result A series of six illustrations where every letter plays a role in the unfolding story.
Bloom | Illustrated Calendar
Brief: Create a series of illustrations for a calendar.
Idea
A gardener discovers a weed in a world of perfect flowers. He refuses to pull it out, and his friendship with the weed gradually changes him and everything around him.
Problem
I had to invent a world and determine its mechanics.
Solution
I rendered the world as a flawless, colorless system, so every change would stand out against it.
Result
An illustrated calendar where the world slowly becomes saturated with color, from the first page to the last.
David and the Chameleon | Sticker Pack for the Creative Industries Management Department
Brief: Create stickers for the department using its two mascots, David and the Chameleon.Idea David tries to control the work of his younger colleague—a student designer chameleon who would rather do nothing.
Problem When the two characters were positioned together, the small chameleon got lost next to David.
Solution Instead of trying to hide the difference in size, I incorporated it into the humor.
Result A funny sticker pack about a boss and his reluctant designer.
Trash Mermaids | Sticker Pack
Brief: Create a series of illustrations with an interesting story and dynamic movement.
Idea The mermaids are furious with people who throw trash into the ocean. They no longer sing their beautiful songs and are ready for revenge.
Problem Since a sticker is small, the mermaids' anger needed to be immediately readable, not solely through facial expressions.
Solution I embedded the anger into the characters’ silhouettes, shapes, and overall design.
Result A sticker pack of angry mermaids that tells a story about ocean pollution.
Your Fizz | Soda Packaging Design
Brief: Design carbonated drinks for young, bright, and energetic people.
Idea A cheerful troublemaker rides a jetpack and a jet skateboard through the city, having fun and inspiring everyone around him to join in.
Problem On a shelf full of bright cans, a drink for young people has to stand out at a glance.
Solution I used the hero’s silhouette on the jetpack as the main accent and kept the city background simple so it never competes with him.
Result Packaging featuring one recognizable hero that is easy to spot on the shelf.

Thorns and Roses | Scarf Series
Brief: create illustrations for a series of scarves.
Idea I explored the contrast between sharp thorns and delicate blossoms.
Problem Heavy, sharp thorns and delicate flowers could easily devolve into chaos or appear aggressive. They needed to be balanced.
Solution I kept the flowers soft and refined, allowed the thorns to establish the rhythm through sharp accents, and unified everything with a single color palette.
Result A series of scarves that feel both chaotic and gentle.
Mean Flowers | T-shirt Design
Brief: design interesting prints for summer T-shirts.
Idea Snobby flower buds are tired of being soft and fragile, so now they are showing everyone their thorns.
Problem Since flowers typically symbolize tenderness, a mean-spirited take could easily appear scary or unattractive. Their attitude needed to read as humorous.
Solution I experimented with smooth and sharp shapes and gave each flower its own quirky little scene.
Result A series of T-shirts featuring cocky flowers with a sense of humor.
Little Red Riding Hood | Book Illustration
Brief: Illustrate a fairy tale chosen by the client. In my case, Little Red Riding Hood.Idea Keep the story faithful to a children’s book, but allow the reader to sense a quiet, unspoken fear that builds toward the climax.
Problem The classic version is naive and overly childish, yet a fully dark interpretation would be too extreme. I needed to strike a balance between the two.
Solution I maintained a slightly naive, childlike style, allowing the tension to stem from the atmosphere rather than from frightening imagery.
Result A set of book illustrations that feel like a traditional children’s tale while keeping the reader unsettled until the very end.
