plot
The film «Blue Spring» tells the story of a group of Japanese high school students who confront cruelty, loneliness, and the uncertainty of the future. Within the walls of the school, where violence and power struggles reign, the teens try to find their place in the world. At the center of the plot is the story of friendship between two young people whose relationship gradually deteriorates under the pressure of ambition and internal conflict. This is a story about growing up, lost dreams, and the freedom that proves unattainable.
idea

The title sequence concept is inspired by the aesthetic of Japanese cinema posters and their characteristic blend of Latin and Japanese script. The primary visual device is the effect of text fading out gradually, reflecting one of the film’s core themes—the loss of time and the uncertainty of the future. The disappearing letters symbolize fleeting youth, unrealized dreams, and opportunities that students lose under the pressure of reality.

It’s scary when people know exactly what they want.
