Hello, I’m Sophie. I’m an illustrator who loves strange characters, imaginative worlds, and the details that make them feel real.
My advantage: a recognizable style for both characters and architecture, coupled with a fast, steady workflow.

I specialize in:✧ book illustration ✧ character design ✧ editorial and independent publications ✧ prints, postcards, and merchandise
I work with Publishers · Editors · Creative Studios · Independent Authors
ANTIHYPE
Illustration Series · Portrait

Challenge: Give each musician a clear character and unify four distinct faces into a single band aesthetic.Idea: A strict palette of red, black, and white, employing rough, sketchy lines, and a unique swirling background for each individual.Result: Four portraits, unified by a single visual language. What it shows: I can imbue real people with a strong, recognizable visual identity.

BRIT-POP

The feel is calm and graphic, a departure from the Antihype series.Result: Four portraits rendered in a unified, clean style. What it shows: My ability to adapt my portrait style to suit different moods and historical eras.

Bug alphabet
Illustration Series · Product Design

Challenge: Integrate each letter into the image so it becomes a part of the scene, rather than just a label on it. Idea: Each letter transforms into an element from the bugs' world—a building, a lily of the valley. Because the bugs are tiny and the letters are massive, every scene evokes a small narrative with its own distinct mood. This particular piece is quiet and rainy, featuring two bugs holding each other beneath a giant flower. Process: The final illustrations were adapted for industrial design, allowing the same visual world to translate onto real products. Result: Six illustrated letters, one cohesive bug world, and product designs derived from the artwork. What it shows: I can build a consistent world, maintain its continuity across a series, and successfully apply it to tangible products.

Every day is a music day
Illustration series · Product Design

Challenge: To capture the essence of music in a miniature format.Idea: The instruments are the protagonists. Tiny figures stand alongside them, while flowers and sound waves fill the space. A black background and green tones establish a unified mood for the entire set.Result: A collection of 13 postcards unified by a single palette. What it shows: My ability to create small objects that people wish to send and keep.

Golden towns
Illustration series · Landscape · Architecture

Challenge: Make every location instantly recognizable, yet render it with the utmost simplicity and flatness.Idea: Reduce each landscape and building to its primary forms—a tower, an arch, a roofline. Utilize flat color, minimal figures, and only subtle textures.Result: Thirteen simple, flat illustrations. Each location remains easily identifiable. What it shows: I can simplify architecture without sacrificing its inherent character.
Wonderful postcards of the Golden Ring landscapes!
