Hi, I’m Arina
Book Designer, Typographer
Designing the way a book is read.I am a book designer with a particular interest in typography, editorial structure, and the relationship between content and visual form.I see book design as more than simply creating an attractive cover or arranging text on a page. It is about discovering a visual language that reflects the content, establishes a clear structure, and shapes the reader’s entire experience.

Content comes first
Every book possesses its own character, structure, and audience. I believe its visual identity should emerge from these qualities rather than adhering to a predefined style.
My approach merges conceptual thinking with meticulous attention to typography, composition, and detail. My goal is to create publications where every element functions cohesively as a unified system.
Plays by Mauricio Kagel
The challenge was to unify Kagel’s complex musical compositions in a way that captured his creative genius and unconventional approach to music.
A series of books was designed to complement one another like pieces of a puzzle. While all the books share the same underlying layout system, each possesses its own distinct visual character, reflecting the individuality and experimental nature of Kagel’s compositions.
A Book Dedicated to Frescoes
The book presents a complete collection of the surviving frescoes of the Ferapontov Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designed as both a visual guide for visitors and an educational resource for those interested in art and history, the publication offers an accessible way to explore and appreciate the monastery’s unique artistic heritage.
A Scientific Journal of Aquatic Life
The magazine originated as part of a broader project focused on marine conservation. Through a subscription, participants can symbolically adopt a marine animal from thousands of miles away, track its movements, and learn more about its life and habitat. The magazine acts as a connective element within the project, bringing together scientific articles, information on marine species, and interviews with researchers. It makes marine science more accessible and helps readers build a deeper connection with ocean life.
A Calendar Dedicated to the Sky
Inspired by the cyanometer—an instrument used to measure the intensity of the sky’s blue color—this calendar invites us to slow down and pay attention to the world around us.
In the rush of everyday life, we rarely take a moment to simply look up. The project encourages us to pause, observe the changing shades of the sky, and appreciate the beauty of ordinary moments. Through color and the passage of time, the calendar becomes a gentle reminder to be more present and notice the small details we often overlook.
