Why the Murmansk Oblast, and not the city?
— The Murmansk Oblast encompasses numerous unique natural, historical, and cultural sites that may be less known compared to city landmarks. — By visiting locations in the Murmansk Oblast, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the region’s unique characteristics and traditions. — The region offers tourists more opportunities for active recreation.
Creating a series of posters for the Murmansk region allows for a more complete presentation of the region as a tourist destination and helps draw public attention to it.

Phase: Sketching

The works have three plans, and each plan features key imagery of that location.
Required elements for each poster: The inscription «Murmansk»; the name of the location; a white line that runs across the entire piece, symbolizing a path.

Phase: Color Palette Selection
Stage: Color work
Final stage: adding black ink, inscriptions, titles, and white lines
«Saami Village» (also known as «Saam-Syt») is an open-air ethnocultural complex located on the Kola Peninsula in the Murmansk region, created to familiarize visitors with the traditions, lifestyle, and way of life of the indigenous people of the North—the Saami. The village is situated near the village of Lovozero, which is often called the center of Saami culture in Russia.

The primary motifs for this poster are mountains, the Northern Lights, lavvu (conical huts made of birch bark and reindeer hides), and the reindeer that inhabit a Sami village.
«Big Woodjawr» is a popular ski resort located within the city limits of Kirovsk, Murmansk Oblast, on the slopes of Mount Aikuaivenchorr in the Kibiny mountain range. It is the highest mountain resort in northwestern Russia.

On this poster, I decided to depict mountains, ski runs, a skier and a snowboarder, cable cars, and the city of Kirovsk itself, visible from the slope through the fog.
«Sand Beach» is the heart of the settlement, located in Old Teriberka near the mouth of the river of the same name. The beach stretches for approximately 1.5 km along the Teriberka Bay. Its main features include a wide expanse of golden sand and an abundance of art installations.

The key images of this location are a derelict fishing trawler that washed ashore after a storm in the Barents Sea, and a breaching humpback whale.
