Conceptual Image Series Burnout Template
In a corporate environment, document and presentation templates establish standards for information formatting, transforming workflows into a sequence of defined actions. Created to simplify routine tasks, they evolve into tools for regulation, demanding adherence to established structures. Standardization ceases to be merely an external requirement; it becomes integrated into the very process of human thought, leaving an imprint on perception and the capacity for independent thinking.
The series is based on the experience of creating commercial presentation materials. The primary image is an A4 sheet—a universal carrier of corporate information. The straight fold lines, already resembling a template even before the sheet is filled with content, become a metaphor for internalized limitations. Through the image of deformed paper, the work explores how adherence to standards leaves its mark on those who abide by them.
This work examines stereotypical thinking as the result of prolonged adaptation to a standardized environment. The norms gradually assimilated and the prescribed behaviors leave behind internal distortions, limiting a person’s capacity for independent thought, individuality, and creativity.The work addresses the visual reproduction of interface patterns.
