Polenovo
I worked on this project with Maria Voronkova. We co-directed the film and developed the story together. I handled the storyboards, character design, and all the backgrounds, and I also did some of the rough animation.
My main idea was to use a split-screen to show two worlds simultaneously: one featuring a child with diabetes and one without. In the end, their worlds merge, illustrating that they are simply kids having fun together.

Three Minutes to Sleep
«Three Minutes to Sleep» is a short comedy about a little boy who keeps interrupting his dad’s bedtime story with his wild imagination.
I worked on this project with Daria Levshina and Ksenia Soldatova. Together with Daria, I co-wrote the script. I handled the backgrounds and animated several scenes.
During the project, I experienced some uncertainty regarding the background style. Initially, I experimented with a classic fairy-tale aesthetic featuring ample white space, followed by a more simplified approach—but neither suited the characters. Eventually, we settled on a style inspired by the UPA studio: flat and hermetic. This decision saved a significant amount of time and gave the entire image a polished, cohesive look.

New Year Shift
«New Year Shift» was my first independent short film. It tells the story of a tired woman returning home from work on New Year’s Eve to find no one has helped with the holiday preparations.
The story addresses the «second shift» that women often undertake. I wanted to illustrate that it is acceptable to simply leave and choose oneself. I used muted, gray colors to convey her exhaustion, and only in the final scene, as she steps out into the night, do the colors become bright and vibrant.

Panamka
«Panamka» is an animated music video for Milenholia’s track. It’s a dive into the singer’s nostalgia for a summer by the sea.
I served as the director, crafting the atmosphere and visual style. I utilized a warm pink and orange palette to capture the feeling of a hazy, sunlit memory. The main character is guided through a whimsical town by a little sunbeam.

Project in Development: «Money for a Service»
A future animated short about a five-year-old girl who tries to save her family from divorce, without understanding the scale of adult problems. The story is based on a real memory.
Character Concepts
The technique is frame-by-frame 2D animation. The film explores a child’s perception of the world: the camera stays at the eye level of a little girl named Katya. The world is huge and confusing, and adult problems seep through the cracks.
