A model of a bridge inspired by the Connel Bridge, constructed from wooden dowels. The project demonstrates the features of a cantilevered truss structure, the principle of load distribution, and the stability of triangular elements.

Structure Type: Cantilever Truss Bridge Structural Features: The bridge consists of two heavy cantilever trusses connected by a central suspended span. The triangular system of struts provides structural rigidity, allowing it to span long distances without intermediate supports. Principle of Operation: The load from the roadway is transferred to the trusses, where it is distributed between the tensioned and compressed elements. The cantilever sections support the central span and transfer forces through the supports to the foundation. The diagonal bracing ensures stability and uniform load distribution among the structural components.
