Hi, I’m Anna. My ideas rarely start with pictures. I find them in books, films, and philosophical concepts, then search for the guiding principle a project can be built upon. From there, I develop a system of grids, typography, and rules, carrying it all the way to print—paper, binding, and finishing. I also enjoy making the creative process itself faster. I write plugins that automate routine tasks for the team, allowing more time for the aspects that require a human touch.

Every project begins with research into its context and concludes in print. Step 2 is where the project pivots—it’s the principle that guides everything else. I also write plugins to accelerate steps 3 and 4.
2024 Packaging for BUÄ, a headwear brand. Study project, HSE Art and Design School. Curator: Sofia Syrovatskaya.
The packaging became the new stylistic signature of BUÄ. Through it, we uncovered a fresh metaphor for the brand, and that same aesthetic now extends across the care products, the store display, and social

In the foothills of the Sikhote-Alin live small groups of the Udege, descendants of an ancient culture of taiga hunters. BUÄ is a brand I developed around two of their traditional hats, the bogdo and the pumpe. Each hat is unique, yet it is constructed in a way that parts from different models can be combined into new versions.

Instead of standard icons, the product communicates through Udege signs. Each of the seven originates directly from their culture—featuring animals, places, and images significant to the Udege. Each symbol represents one of the hats' protective qualities, and they are distributed across all the boxes.

The same system covers care products—a brush, a bleach cream, and a solid soap in a tin—with their compositions presented in the same voice as the packaging.

In Denmark—or rather in Copenhagen, or rather in the part of it located on Amager Island—there is a unique settlement. A city within a city, a state within a state. This place is known worldwide, and it is called Christiania.
