The book describes a Russian film with zero contrasts between a massive, comfortable, bright and nostalgic image of the 2000s and a film that speaks of loneliness, a spiritual crisis that reflexes the crisis of national identity after the collapse of the USSR.

The chapters are divided over the years and consist of the Ceance magazine, which provides an overview of the period, as well as articles on individual films and directors.
The Chronicle is separated by drawing and color. TT Normas Pro is used in the hard work of the articles, in the chronicles, footnotes, and columns of TT Normas Pro Serif.
The antithesis of external well-being and internal crisis determines the structure of the book: spectatorial and authorial films exist in parallel but in different formats.
