My father came from a small mountain village in southern China, and my mother came from an important industrial city in northern China. On the fourth day of the new year, they finally returned to this mountain village
My father, whose family shrine was forcibly demolished by a group of young men not long ago, was telling me about another shrine in the village
The parents came to the river, at the end of which there was a hydroelectric power station that my father had financed.
Just a few months ago, my father’s brother died, and some construction work in the village was temporarily halted due to a lack of financial resources
Father and mother walking arm-in-arm on the road built with father’s money, the same road from which mother entered the village and married father, but back then it was still a dirt road.
My father was able to leave the village because he was admitted to a major university, and after a successful career, he also contributed to the construction of many roads in the village.
