«Upcoming Uncertain» 9.03.2023 — 4.04.2023 Cube, Moscow

What does it mean to become an adult? When do we realize that we are no longer children? This is a fragile state of transition, unclear, unsteady, twilight. The «between» state. Endless, painful fluctuations between a feeling of absolute happiness and panic fear, between innocence and cynicism, kindness and cruelty. When everything happens for the first time: friendship, betrayal, love, death. We grope for answers to eternal questions, not noticing that this search itself makes us what we will be — adults.

The exhibition «Upcoming Uncertain» forms a field, more emotional than semantic, in which artists turn to their own experience of growing up. It suggests to talk about this transitional state, about living the moment of becoming, overcoming oneself through certain events and rituals. No matter how individual this experience is, it is able to unite people, because we all know what it is about.
